Order Processing
Order Cutoff Time: Orders placed before 5:00 pm ET on business days (Monday–Friday) will be processed and shipped on the next business day.
Weekend & Holiday Orders: Orders placed after 5:00 pm ET, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed and shipped on the following business day.
Estimated Shipping Times: Delivery estimates begin once your tracking number is issued and vary by region.
Free Shipping (Within Canada)
We are pleased to offer free ground shipping on most internet orders over $99 CAD before taxes.
Eligibility: This offer is valid for standard ground shipping to most locations within Canada. Remote locations may be subject to regional restrictions.
Exclusions: Overweight, oversized, and some clearance items may be excluded. Shipping costs for these items will be clearly displayed at checkout. For questions about items that may require manual ordering, please contact us.
Special Orders: Some items not available for online purchase may be ordered manually.
Right to Change: Vintage Violins reserves the right to end or change this offer at any time.
Regular Shipping (Orders Under $99)
Economy Mail: For smaller items under $99, we offer a $7.00 CAD regular mail shipping option. Please note that this service does not include tracking and can take 5-15 business days for delivery.
Shipping Protection & Insurance
Coverage: Canada Post insures all Xpresspost and Priority shipments for the first $100 of value.
Return Policy
We want every customer to be completely satisfied with their purchase. Please review the following guidelines for returns.
General Return & Refund Policy (Non-Defective Items)
Return Window: You have 14 days from the date of delivery to return eligible items for a refund or exchange.
Condition Requirement: Returned items must be in their original condition, including all packaging, accessories, and manuals. We reserve the right to refuse returns on items that show signs of wear, damage, or are missing components.
Return Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is a result of our error.
Non-Returnable Items: For hygiene and performance reasons, strings and shoulder rest are final sale and cannot be returned or refund.
Clearance and Sale Items
All clearance and sale items are sold as-is and are final sale. No refunds, exchanges, or returns will be accepted on these items.
Defective or Damaged Items
If you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue.
Notification Period: Defects must be reported to us within 7 days of receipt.
Resolution Options: Upon verification of the defect, we will provide a resolution at our discretion, which may include a repair, replacement, or refund.
Return Shipping Reimbursement: If a return is required for a verified defective item, we will reimburse you for reasonable return shipping costs. Please retain and provide a copy of the shipping receipt.
Items Damaged or Faulty After 30 Days
Even after the standard return window has passed, we are committed to assisting our customers with potential quality issues.
Manufacturing Defects: If an item fails due to a potential manufacturing defect after 30 days, please contact us. No guarantee to a return or refund.
Exclusions: This policy does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or intentional breakage.
Exchanges: You may exchange an item for another of equal or greater value within 30 days of your original purchase.
Return Packaging Instructions
To ensure your return is processed smoothly and arrives safely, please follow these steps:
Pack Securely: Use a sturdy box with sufficient padding (e.g., bubble wrap) to protect the item during transit. Damage incurred during return shipping may affect your refund.
Include Order Details: Inside the package, please include your order number and a brief note indicating the reason for the return.
Affix the Return Label: If a return shipping label has been provided, place it clearly and securely on the outside of the package.
